The Buffalo Bills are getting ready to take on the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football. We previously published a Three Keys to victory piece but now we ask our Bills Beat writers, as well as others in the Stadium Rant network their thoughts and predictions on the Bills’ big game.
At the time of this writing, Buffalo was a nine and a half point favorite, which seems like a lot, particularly by NFL standards. Is that a product of how good the Bills looked last week or the fact that the Titans lost to the Giants in Week One?
Either way, I think Buffalo handles this one. The Titans will be without possibly their best pass rusher in Harold Landry, and we all know they traded away maybe their second-best player this offseason, in A.J. Brown. Arguably their best wide receiver now is Robert Woods but he’s coming off a major knee injury and he was only targeted twice last week. As good as Treylon Burks could be, he’s still a rookie and Derrick Henry only totaled 82 yards rushing on 21 carries last week.
That said, the only way the Titans could possibly keep up is if Henry goes off but aside from last season, (Henry racked up 143 yards on Buffalo’s defense, 76 of those on one play that included two non-called holding penalties), they’ve done a good job in containing him over the years.
My prediction is Bills win easily, 38 – 17.

Buffalo showed after Week One they and the Chiefs are on completely different tiers than most teams by handling top NFC opponents with ease. This week against the Titans, they will go all out to stop the run and force Tannehill to have to beat them with an older Bobby Trees and very unproven but talented Treylon Burks. The defense will hold Tennessee to 20 or fewer points while putting up at least 35 and Josh throws for three TDs and over 300 yards with Knox having a comeback game with a TD and over 50 receiving yards. The line will have five sacks and two turnovers.
Buffalo gets ahead by 14 early forcing Tennessee to pass the ball. Henry is held to under 80 yards and Josh Allen shows him who’s the new king with four total touchdowns. Bills top Titans, 36 – 17.

After the dismantling of the Los Angeles Rams, Buffalo looks good on both sides of the ball. The Tennessee Titans will be missing weapons that they had last year on the receiving side which should make the secondary assignments easier for Buffalo this week. They will be looking to game plan for Derrick Henry. This will be a test for the defensive line.
Can Jordan Phillips and Von Miller have a repeat game this week? Buffalo recorded seven sacks and I expect the same this week. On offense, they will pass for over 300 yards, and I expect them to have more points this week than they did last week. Stefon Diggs & company will touch paydirt at least three times as the Bills will win 41-17.

Buffalo had a dominating performance in Week One against the defending Super Bowl Champions and I expect that dominance to continue on Monday. The Bills come into this game as nine and a half point favorites at home against the Titans. The Titans had Buffalo’s number the last two times these teams met, but that was also in Nashville, not in Buffalo.
The Titans lost a bad one to the Giants in Week One and while they’re going to be mad and looking to bounce back, I don’t see them keeping their game closer than the Rams kept it.
I see Buffalo steamrolling the Titans on Monday 38-13 with Allen putting up four TDs and Singeltary getting on the board as well.

Buffalo looked like serious contenders last week, but this week will be a little more challenging. Styles make fights, and Tennessee plays a physical smash mouth game that the Bills have had a hard time with, in their recent matchups. Tennessee does not want to start the season 0-2. They will give Buffalo a real fight and will escape on a last-second field goal. Titans 24 Bills 21.

Bills win. End of story. Go Colts. Bills 6000 – Titans 0 (This one is Bills Beat personal favorite)

The Vrabel-led Titans always seem to play up and down to their competition, and their matchups against Buffalo the past couple of seasons have been no exception. However, with this game being in Buffalo and looking like the team to beat, it’s hard to predict the upset. Buffalo is simply the more talented team on both sides of the ball. I think this game could be close in the first half, but much like they did against Los Angeles, I fully expect Buffalo to dominate in the second half and walk away with a comfortable victory. Bills 30, Titans 17.

Buffalo will rely more on their running game this week thanks to their defense suffocating the Titans’ one-dimensional offensive attack. Josh Allen should score three touchdowns in the first half and allow the team to coast in the second half to victory for their second blowout win in as many weeks. Bills 31, Titans 6.

Buffalo’s defense will halt the lack of receiving talent on the Titans and force them to attempt several field goals. The Titans will get a touchdown sometime during the game, probably in the second half as a last-ditch effort to put up some points. Gabe Davis and Stefon Diggs will have a plethora of targets against the Titans’ secondary and will be well fed by the end of the game. Bills 34 Titans 16.
Titans TD: Derrick Henry / Bills TDs: Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis, Josh Allen, Devin Singletary

The Bills looked impressive in their Week One win over the reigning Super Bowl champs and had extra time to prepare for this one. Look for Josh Allen and the offense to start off hot while the Bills’ defense slows down the Titans’ offense. The Bills will continue to show why they are AFC favorites this year. Bills 28 Titans 10.
